Holger Götz successfully defended his PhD thesis with the title “Jamming und Konvektion in Granulaten”
May 22, 2024 – In his thesis, Holger Götz investigated and characterized the granular gripper and granular metamaterials, two systems in which granular jamming is used to achieve variable stiffness. Additionally, he studied vibrated granulates in zero gravity conditions, investigating the causes of asymmetries in arising convection patterns.
